Grace and Gift Ministries is a Christian ministry. We provide prayer minister training for Christians of all denominations. Participants attend our trainings because they are desirous to learn how to grow in intimacy with our Lord, and because they are desirous to learn how to pray for others. Participants also attend our training program in groups from their churches, in order to develop balanced prayer ministries.
Prayer minister training is beneficial for everyone, and you do not have to be a church leader or have discerned a call into ministry to attend. There is no downside to attending the prayer training. The material is for all Christians. Christians who are mature teenagers (ages 16 and older) are welcome to attend with their parent(s).
The training days are tailored to fit each group's unique dynamics. We like to start with music and prayer, when musicians are available, in order to help us get our minds focused on the Lord. The lessons consist of presentations and hands-on learning. There is always time scheduled for answering the many questions that students have. Finally, you will certainly enjoy the time of testimonies at the end of each class. This is a wonderful time of encouragement.
The interaction among the group and your ability to ask questions, is an important part of your training. You will have the opportunity to meet other Christians and develop connections with like-minded prayer ministers. This is important because there may be times when you will need prayer or when you may need to refer someone to another prayer minister.
The practicum is mandatory, and you will realize why once you have participated. In practicum, we ask God to apply all that we have learned. It is a time for personal growth and restoration and an opportunity to bless others. God does amazing work in us all during this time – it is wonderful!
We look forward to having you with us at our prayer trainings. God bless you! -Allison Bollegar
